Acitrezza is small fishing village 15 km from Catania. The local legend says that furious Odysseus threw stones from Volcano Etna and created three very tall islands, made of lava. The islands are called Cyclopean Isles "Isole dei Ciclopi". The water is crystal clear and if you want see the islands closer you can rent a paddle boat or canoe from the shore. During summertime it gets really busy and lots of people are having "passeggiata" a nice walk there. In the night time you can find lots of young people hanging around.
