A 3.2 magnitude earthquake has been registered last night at 2.35 am in the sea between Sicily and Malta, Italian news agency ANSA has just reported.

The epicentre of the earthquake was registered at the Italian Institute for Geophysics and Vulcanology at a latitude of 34.7°N and a longitude of 13.911°E at a depth of 10 metres.

Another earthquake registering 2.7 magnitude was registered three days ago in the same area, in the seismic district of the Sicilian Sea at a depth of around 25 kilometres.
