CATANIA (4-3-3)

Andujar- 7.5: Made two wonderful saves on Del Piero in the first-half, first standing his ground to block a one-on-one and then getting a strong hand to the captain's flicked effort.

Potenza- 6: His header that was saved by Buffon led to a goal-bound score from Silvestre. Otherwise quiet.

Silvestre- 7.5:
Scored the opening goal with a striker's finish into the roof of the net and also made several headed interceptions at the back. A strong contender for 'Man of the Match.'

Terlizzi- 7: Like his central defensive partner, he covered well when called upon and limited Vincenzo Iaquinta and Amauri.

Alvarez- 5: Struggled to get involved during the course of 90 minutes.

Biagianti- 5: Did a lot of running, but he gave away the ball on the edge of his own area and was lucky Del Piero failed to punish him.

Carboni- 6: Plenty of hard-work and added steel to the midfield by challenging Diego and company whenever they were in possession.

Ricchiuti- 6.5:
Ran himself ragged and created some good opportunities going forward in the first-half. Seemed tired in the second period and was removed on 55 minutes.

Izco- 5:
Tried to create openings from wide positions with limited success.

Maxi Lopez- 7:
Unlucky not to score this afternoon as he was twice halted by Gianluigi Buffon, including in the final five minutes. Showed great skill leading the front-line on his own in the second-half, wriggling away from defenders.

Mascara- 6: An outlet for his team-mates and played some dangerous set-pieces into the area.

Substitutes

Ledesma- 6: Did a decent job shoring up the midfield.

Spolli- 6: Thrown on to preserve the draw in the second-half.

Sciacca- N/A

JUVENTUS (4-3-1-2)

Buffon- 7.5: Once again brilliant in goal, the Italian international twice blocked Maxi Lopez from good positions and made a fantastic diving save on Potenza's header. Unfortunately he could do nothing on the rebound as Silvestre pounded the ball into the net.

Zebina- 5.5: Got forward on a few occasions, but his final ball often lacked accuracy. Sacrificed late on as Juve searched for a winner.

Cannavaro- 7: The veteran has been in good shape the last few games and proved it again today winning several one-on-one confrontations with the Catania strikers.

Chiellini- 6:
Once dispossessed by Maxi Lopez in the first-half by his own corner, he at times struggled with the pace of some of the attackers. A decent, but not spectacular display.

De Ceglie- 5.5: Started promisingly, but went missing for long periods and faded out of the match.

Poulsen- 7: The Dane was uncompromising in the centre of the pitch, practically giving Juve the upper hand in midfield himself. Sparked the move that led to the equaliser.

Felipe Melo- 5.5: Another disappointing day for the ex-Viola star, whose future in Turin is up for debate.

Marchisio- 7: The Italian international drove forward at every opportunity, also doing his duty defensively. Showed great persistence after seeing his first effort blocked to regain composure and level the scores.

Diego- 5: Crowded out by the Catania players every time he touched the ball, he lacked the ingenuity necessary to escape his markers or provide a telling pass. A couple of bright moments, but several dim ones.

Iaquinta- 5: Last week he was the club's hero, today he was less than ordinary. Missed a great chance just minutes into the match by volleying wide.

Del Piero- 5.5: The most active Juve player in attack, but he missed a gift when Catania lost the ball on the edge of their own area, he fired straight at the goalkeeper. Removed at half-time.

Amauri- 4.5: Italy fans will be praying he is not on Marcello Lippi's preliminary squad list.

Salihamidzic- N/A

Candreva- N/A
