Siracusa (Syracuse) is located in the south-east corner of the island. In the past it was one of the most powerful cities in the Mediterranean sea, also mentioned frequently in the Bible. It can be divided in three zones: the island of Ortigia, the historic center, the modern Siracusa and the archeological park where you can find old Greek theater.
